While
on the Chilkoot Trail Hike & Float,
will we see wildlife?

The Chilkoot
Trail Hike & Float Tour travels, by
14 passenger van, about 8 miles along
the Skagway coastline to the Chilkoot
Trail Trailhead. Along the way
we occasionally
see whales, orcas, porpoises, seals,
eagles and waterfowl. While
hiking or floating we occasionally
see black bear, grizzly bear, wolf,
coyote, fox, mountain goat and eagles.

Are
there any age restrictions for taking
the Chilkoot Trail Hike & Float Tour?

We
normally require our young hikers
to be at least five years old.
Parents who wish to bring younger
children may contact us to see if
an exception may be made.

on the Chilkoot Trail Hike and Float
Tour, will a lunch be provided?

Since
the Chilkoot Trail Hike and Float
Tour is 4 hours in length and has
a higher activity level, a light snack
is provided. This snack includes cheese,
crackers, smoked salmon, and juice.
After your tour we recommend
the Alaska Gourmet Cafe, located
on 5th Street, for the best Sandwiches,
Salmon Chowder, and Buffalo Chili
in Skagway. |
