Journey an extra 18 miles along the
Klondike Highway making photo stops at both Emerald
and Bennett Lake; additional stops at
the Carcross Desert and Nares Lake, may be made as

Venturing
from Skagway's glacially carved
coastline you will ride over
the coastal mountain range,
through the White Pass Summit Area
known as the
Tormented Valley.

Making
your way across
the northwest corner of British
Columbia and into the southwest
corner of the Yukon, you will
savor majestic
mountain vistas, pristine lakes,
and crisp, clean air. The
sound of wind in the trees, the
aroma of northern flora, and
the taste of fresh wild berries
(when in season) are all waiting
for you around the next bend. |

Arriving
at Emerald Lake, the turnaround point
of this scenic adventure, your tour
guide will gladly take your picture
overlooking this beautiful lake (as
with all stops, your tour guide
is always happy to assist you in capturing
your memories on film).

Next,
you will stop in at Caribou Crossing Trading
Post and Museum where you can relax and
enjoy a tasty, satisfying lunch. Baked
chicken with barbeque sauce, a baked potato,
coleslaw, dinner rolls, donuts, and coffee
- Yukon style!

After
eating, you will visit one of the
most spectacular wildlife museums
in North America. As you stroll
through this 7,000 sq ft museum, you
will find the quality of their
wildlife exhibits to be truly remarkable.
The
museum's exhibits range
from Ice Age specimens to animals more
recently introduced into the Yukon. Also,
included are exotic animals from both
the arctic and sub-arctic regions of Alaska
and the Yukon, as well as from around the
world.

dogsled race, the "Yukon Quest".

First Nation's guide will give you a short safety presentation
as you prepare to ride a new
ATV through the Carcross Desert.

After finding some "color", take some time to socialize with some cuddly racing puppies. |
Feel
the excitement of riding with an experienced dogsled musher over cut
trails through the Yukon wilderness. |
You
and your ATV partner will follow your guide over and
around sand dunes, stopping to change drivers. |

Your
tour continues on to the shores of crystal
clear Bennett Lake. There
you will have an opportunity
to skip a few stones
across the water, take
pictures, and ask your tour
guide questions about the historic
Klondike Gold Rush. |

Carcross Desert, which is the world's smallest
desert. Here
you will be able to get some sand in your
shoes and take pictures that will be treasured

back in Skagway, your tour guide
will drop you off in the center
of the Skagway shopping district,
